I have selected two showhomes as case studies under the idea of the 'perception of luxury'. The reason I have chosen to look at showhomes is due to the reason that they are designed. They are designed in a way that allows individuals viewing the space to imagine themselves living in this luxurious and aesthetically appealing home. They tend to have an almost boutique hotel feel, which again highlights societies desires to live or visit a place that posses that luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. The perception of luxury is an idea that I wish to invite into my design, whilst ensuring that each space is universally designed, accessible and appealing to all (or most) individuals. 

 

The two examples I have listed below are ones I have visited, and one I personally worked on during my work experience.
